We've made some big changes to our approach to messaging on Createxplore based on your feedback. The main change is that conversations are now organised around Projects rather than around individuals, which should make finding conversations much easier.

Please note that all your conversations prior to this change will be moved to an archive that you can access by clicking on “View archived conversations”, but you will need to start a new conversation to continue those conversations if you want to. Unfortunately the changes are quite complicated so we couldn’t find a way to move existing conversations into the new format reliably. Hopefully it will all make sense as you start to add new conversations!

For Explorers this new approach to messaging means:

- All your messages will be grouped into your Projects, so you’ll be able to see all your conversations about an individual Project in one place

- You can filter your messages by the status of your Projects (Open, In progress or Completed) so you can quickly find the Project you want

- You can see the invitation status (Invited, Accepted, Declined or Missed) for every Creator you’ve invited to a Project

- You can easily invite a Creator you’re having a conversation with to the Project you’re discussing (or see that you’ve already invited them)

- Inviting a Creator to a Project automatically starts a new conversation with them about the Project

- As now you can easily start a new conversation by searching for a Creator in the search field – the difference now is that you then choose the Project you want to chat about

- You can delete conversations using the menu in the top right of the chat pane (that deletes the conversation from your view, not from the Creator you had the conversation with’s view)

- Your existing messages prior to this change will still be accessible by clicking on “View archived Conversations”

For Creators this new approach to messaging means:

- All your messages will be ordered by the Projects you’ve had conversations about (rather than by the Explorer names, although you can see the Explorer name too of course)

- You can filter your messages by the status of your Projects (Open, In progress or Completed) and by the invitation status (Invited, Accepted, Declined or Missed) so you can quickly find the Project you want

- You can easily accept or decline an invitation from the chat

- You can quickly see the invitation status (whether you’ve been Invited or you Accepted, Declined or Missed the invitation)

- As now you can easily start a new conversation by searching for a Project in the search field

- You can delete conversations using the menu in the top right of the chat pane (that deletes the conversation from your view, not from the Explorer you had the conversation with’s view)

- Your existing messages (prior to this change) will still be accessible by clicking on “View archived Conversations”
